Proposals to enjoy Christmas in Sitges
Although this year has been suspended the traditional career of Sant Silvestre Sitgetana Pirata, Sitges has many interesting activities to celebrate these holidays:
- Els Pastorets de Sitges. This is one of the classic events of Sitges at these dates. It is a theatrical and musical function very typical of Christmas in Catalonia, in which the birth of Jesus is seen as seen from the point of view of the shepherds. The performances take place in the Prado Suburense casino on 27 and 28 December. Do not miss it!
- Exhibition of dioramas of cribs. In the Palau del Rei Moro, until January 6th the exhibition of dioramas of cribs will take place. The hours will be from 18:00 to 20:00, working and Saturdays, and from 11 in the morning to two in the afternoon on public holidays, also opening in the evenings. You can also admire the most charming cribs of the city, aiming at a cribs route through Sitges, which runs from the beach of the town hall to the hospital of Sant Joan Baptista.
Fun for the little ones
- Christmas Park in Sitges. The Christmas Park in Sitges has many activities of leisure, and sports for the little ones of the house. From games, trampolines, workshops, crafts, inflatables … and much more! The sports association Amicas del Bàsquet, together with the sports service organizes in Pavellón Pins these activities. You can visit it from December 27 to January 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On January 1st the park will be closed, and on December 31 and January 5 will only open in the morning.
- Titelles de Nadal. This is one of the most anticipated events and one of the most special events for children. The Titelles de Nadal, or Christmas puppets, is a function dedicated to the smallest that takes place on January 5th. This year will take place at the Teatre del Retiro at 12h.
- Visit of the Magi in Sitges. On January 4, at 5:00 p.m., the royal postman will collect the letters that the children have written to the Magi. This tour will take place from the Plaza de Catalunya to the town hall square. The next day, the awaited cavalcade will arrive, from the Baluard to the town hall square. Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar will tour the streets of Sitges welcoming both young and old.
